What do you know? My doctor is proud of me. I've lost 15 pounds since he saw me last, and it was eight weeks ago. He only wants me to lose 1-2 pounds a week, so he thinks it is great. I think with all that stupid exercise that it should be coming off faster than this, but if he's happy, I guess I'll just have to be happy. The sad thing is that both the doctor and the nurse say that many people come back 8 weeks later and have gained -- they find a way to trick the band (like by drinking milkshakes and stuff) so that they don't lose.

Guess I should be happy.

My first "fill" went very smoothly. It will restrict my stomach some more so that I can't eat as much. That will help me to continue to lose. The numbing shot hurt and stung, but then I couldn't even feel the needle going in to fill the band.

So, now I am more restricted, have to be on liquids or mushy foods for today and tomorrow and go to see my dietician at 12:00. Slowly but surely I guess.

Meals and Exercise for Wednesday, March 23

Breakfast: Carnation INstant no sugar added low carb Breakfast & Milk

Lunch: TUrkey, Bacon, Cheese Wrap and a few chips

Supper: One Beef and Bean Burrito with Cheese and sour cream

Exercise: 30 minutes on exercise bike, 5 minutes lifting weights (there were other people in there and I couldn’t figure out how to use the machines so I left feeling stupid).

Back on the Wagon

The last few weeks have been horrible, but I’m back on the wagon. I finally got a scale that works and discovered that I hadn’t lost 35 pounds like I thought and I got mad. Plus, my fill date was moved back a whole month because I was travelling, so I can eat about anything I want to.

The scale that I am consistently using does indicate a slow weight loss and I’m down 30 from when I started, but It was so much more fun when I thought I was losing much faster.

I go in for my fill on Monday and hopefully that will make things easier.

I started exercising again yesterday. I will try to start posting again.
